Personalised File Organiser DIY

I have been looking for a file organiser that I could personalise according to size, style, and enough slot to put my important papers in but I had difficulty looking for one so my DIY ideas to the rescue! 🙂

This is so cheap to make! And heres what you’re going to need:

  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Glue Stick (It has to be glue sick, so the cardboard is even out when gluing the cardboard paper)
  • Electrical tape (colour of your choice)
  • Masking tape
  • Recycled Cardboard box (cut into size 13″x9″)
  • Cardboard Paper (cut into size 13″x9″) – any colour of your choice 🙂

I have cut the recycled cardboard box and cardboard paper as shown below;

Important: In gluing the cardboard paper to the recycled cardboard box, only use glue stick so the paper will even out on the recycled cardboard box, shown below;

I have used an electrical tape to secure the edges of the cardboard and add some design to it 😉

Now the exciting part…. Personalising your File organiser! 🙂 You can write whatever you want or probably  use a colourful cardboard paper of your choice;

You will now make the accordion for both sides, I have cut a cardboard paper 30cm x 22.5cm and had it divided and lined by 1.5cm using a scissors to score the paper.

It should look like this;

Now, to connect the accordion on both sides, I use a masking tape on each side to secure the accordion;

Do the above on both sides and it should look like this;

I have also put the electrical tape on the side just to secure the accordion in place;

Now you will cut a few cardboard paper for the divider depending on how much you need for the specific file you want.

and that is it! 🙂 Your personalised file organiser, you well organised person 😉

I hope this helps and inspire you, Show me what you’ve done with yours in the comment below 🙂

That Awesome Feeling to Serve in our Mission Trip to the Philippines, April 2017

I can’t believe it all happened! It was just last year I was telling my handsome cutest hubby that I wanted to do a mission trip, and has been included in my prayers and God made it all happened! 🙂

We all have that longing to serve, and to help, (Yea you do!) simply because we are all created in the image of God, and God wants to help you if you want to be helped and believe in Him thats what He said in John 3:18,

 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son ❤

I don’t know where to start how to tell you but the photos uploaded will help me tell the story :).

First of all I have to tell you that this Mission Trip  was “fun fulfilling hard-work”. We’ve organised a POP-up Shop, shown below my handwritten awesome quotes sold in the pop-up-shop and all the stuff some of my friends and church has donated.

And the SHE (Strong Highly Favoured and Empowered) Walk for a Cause love in Action.

And of course thankful to my spiritual Nanay and Tatay together with their daughter Fideliz who orchestrated and has the heart to serve and started helping unfortunate children and community in the Philippines also here in Australia.

Sharing you videos and photos from Mission Trip 🙂

Showing you the highlight of our Mission trip the,mass wedding, all expense paid by the fundraising, Nanay Betty, Tatay Teo and Baylife Church.

I just couldn’t thank God enough for this magical experience that He made to happen, something that I will treasure all my life. One of my favourite question I ask myself is “Is there not a cause???” I know we all have different goals and wants in life but start with asking yourself that question when you’re up to doing something, have a cause in all that you do and I pray that in all that you do let it all be done in Love <3.

DIY Paper Leaf and Flower Garland

fullsizerender-100fullsizerender-102Here again to help you out create an easy DIY paper leaf and flowers to add beauty on your occasion coming up! 🙂 Its so easy and cheap I bet you can’t wait to do this one yourself, so grab all the things you need and lets get creating!

Materials Needed:

  • Scissors
  • Tissue paper (got mine from Coles about 99 cents)
  • Any green paper of your choice (so long as it is thin)
  • Sewing machine (to sew the leaf together)
  • Leaf Template (get it here)

Making the Paper Leaf

  1. Trace the template to the green paper and cut it out.
  2. Sew the Paper Leaf in an alternate way or criss cross for a natural look.
  3. Sew until you reach your desired length and your all done! 🙂

Making the Tissue Leaf

As shown below, once you’ve done all three steps, its important that you need to make pleats when rolling the tissue for it to bloom! Cheap and easy ❤

At home sweet home decoration ❤
In here you will see the garland being used on the cross to add beauty, and me as an emcee on a SHE (strong, highly-favoured,empowered) movement conference, November, 2016

Personalized Easy DIY Zipper Makeup Pouch

Loving this new pouch that I made myself for my beauty makeup weapons! Haha! First of all, thanks for dropping by and in this blog I will show you how to make this, it’s so easy I promise you! 🙂

Go grab the things needed, listed below;

  • Two outer Fabric of your choice 10″x7″ in size
  • Two lining Fabric 10″x7″ in size
  • Zipper 10″ in size (cut to fit in the size of your fabric)

Start Creating! 🙂

You want to make sure the zipper you have is the same size of the pouch you will be making and if the zipper you have is too long just cut to as the same size as your fabric as shown below and make sure do a stitch at the end of the zipper where it has been cut like below.fullsizerender-78fullsizerender-76

Now after you’ve got the right size of the zipper you will then sew the zipper unto the fabric as shown below, you will need to use a zipper foot in sewing this.

You will now need to get the lining fabric to sew on the other side, same stitching as what you did to your outer fabric.

Next step is to top stitch the outer fabric, just make sure when you do the top stitch not to include the lining fabric

In this step, you will sew the fabric together leaving a gap in the lining fabric to reverse it later on, as shown below make sure to to fold the zipper teeth toward the lining

I have cut the edges of the fabric shown below then turn the pouch inside out.

After turning the pouch inside out, you will need to top stitch or hand sew the fabric for closure.

Now heres the best part! For me anyways! haha! Personalising your pouch! I have chosen a Cotton organic Natural cotton specifically for this so I could write on it 😉

You will need to choose what you want to write on it, and practice first before you write on your fabric. The pen I have used for this is the Sharpie Stained fabric Marker

Voila! Too cute ❤

Now you can put your fave makeup items in it ❤

DIY Decoupage Office Chair, or any Chair you want! :)

FullSizeRender 70

Woo! Here it is guys! Been wanting to do this project and thought I will share it with you awesome peeps :), I bought this chair so cheap at IKEA many years ago and I find it boring now so thought of giving it a new makeover! The fabric that I have used for this chair is from Salvation Army Shop which cost nothing at all and bought it few years back, it is a Japanese Inspired fabric that I could not resist buying and did not think I will use for this chair! This isn’t hard to do at all, let me take you to steps in doing it.

What You Will Need:IMG_7010

  • Scissors
  • Your favourite Fabric
  • Mod Podge
  • Clear Finishing Sealer
  • Gold Spray paint
  • Brush

*I bought the paint brush, spray paint and sealer at Bunnings 🙂

I’m loving gold accents at the moment so I thought of spray painting the chairs’ legs with what else??? GOLD 🙂 Love the sparkly result of this one!

I have pre-measured the cloth that I’m gonna be using for the chair and figured out how to place it on the chair. Choose a fabric for your liking and one that will suit your happy place! :), this is the fun part!

Now Time to Decoupage the Chair

In here you’ll need a paint brush to make it easier to spread the Mod Podge on the chair. I covered mostly the top of the chair first then place the fabric on the chair, and when you have placed the fabric, you will need to smoothen out the fabric onto the chair making sure its nice and flat, the Mod Podge is good to work with as it doesn’t dry quickly so you can smoothen the fabric quite easily onto the chair.

Once you’ve covered the whole chair with Mod Podge, smooth out the rest of the fabric, focusing not on the edges yet as you have to cut a piece of Fabric to smoothly fit in the chair.

As shown below you will have to pinch a piece of the fabric, just enough to connect the fabric together and you will need to cut the excess which you think will fit in together.

Next is the edges, as shown below you will need to just cut to fit nice and perfect onto the chair, don’t worry about the glue drying out quickly you will have enough time to smoothen it. Cut the extra hanging fabric then use the paint brush and paint some more Mod Podge to smoothen the edges with the fabric.

Wait for about half an hour for the chair to be completely dry. I used a clear finishing sealer below for the last part and you will need about an hour for the chair to be completely dry, and after you will get the excitement of putting it in your work area or office or wherever you want! haha! Thats how I felt anyways 😉 Voila! Tada! From a cheapo chair to the chair of your dreams! Go on and do your own! Feel free to ask me questions, happy to help. Have fun creating! 🙂
